Holistic design

the art of crafting user journey as a product

ho·lis·tic: /hōˈlistik/

characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole.

Think beyond the product, think how the product will be used.

Placing users first before technologies;  user-centered design is at the core of any product design. We are intrigued to understand user problems and purposefully design problem-solving experiences that seamlessly integrate into users' daily lives. The design process emphasizes the following key factors:

  • Holistic: Consider the end-to-end user journey, from pre-interaction (Before) to post-interaction (After).

  • Collaboration: Cross-functional teams and user input are integral throughout the process.

  • User-driven requirements: Product and functional requirements are grounded in user stories and journeys and design decisions are user insights informed.

  • Agile methodology: I embrace a 'fail fast, often iterate' approach to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Imagination power, imagining outcomes beyond the happy path can be life-saving hero moments.

The true process is that there is NO TRUE PROCESS.

Types of design process flows we often see, include tech requirements, business model maturity, type of products, concept or production, time to market, project length, etc... A designer can confidently deliver the best design solutions in different design workflows, the key is to have USERS as a part of the design process and below are 3 references. (simplified for presentation)

different projects = different workflow = different result

Designing a product starts with a user journey

UX workshops foster collaboration and cross-learning among teams with diverse backgrounds and cultural perspectives. By imagining future user needs and experiences, we create a shared vision and develop products that truly resonate with our target audience.
